Abstract：

Delta Research Center (DRC) is the central research lab for Delta Electronics, and is home to a significant portion of the AI-driven research projects currently on-going in Delta. In this talk, I will go over several novel AI application projects in DRC, some of which are world-leading, to showcase how a predominantly hardware-oriented company such as Delta is aggressively taking advantage of the exploding technological advances in AI. In addition, I will say a few words about the career opportunities provided by Delta and their implications to students with software expertise.

Biography：

• 闕博士2021年加入台達，目前帶領台達研究院發展智慧製造、人工智能、資訊安全防護、無線通訊感測、儲能管理軟體、無人載具、生命科學等先進領域之技術及相關的應用服務與解決方案。
• 闕博士曾擔任工研院資訊通訊研究所所長、賽門鐵克(Symante)美國總部核心研究實驗室總監、紐約州大石溪分校 (SUNY Stony Brook University) 電腦科學系擔任終身聘正教授等。任職工研院期間，闕博士在雲端系統軟體、5G小基站通訊協定軟體、自駕車軟體與AI處理器等領域，獲得多項技術研發成就。
• 闕博士畢業於台灣大學電機系，並取得美國史丹福大學電腦科學碩士、加州大學柏克萊分校電腦科學博士學位。專門研究大型系統軟體、資通訊安全技術、電腦與網路系統架構，至今發表超過220篇研討會與期刊論文，並獲得多個國際知名研討會最佳論文獎，包括US National Science Foundation Career Award、2013年東元獎、2016年IEEE Infocom 時間考驗論文獎(Test of Time Paper Award)、2017年潘文淵傑出研究獎及2019年中國工程師學會年度獎章。
