The Institute of Communications Engineering at the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) invites applications for full-time faculty positions at all levels. We are seeking outstanding applicants who excel or have potential for developing demonstrated research and teaching expertise in the general areas of communications, networking, data and signal processing and computation, including but not limited to
(1). Field of telecommunications, networking, and signal processing includes
  • Open intelligent communications system designs
  • Applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on communications, networking, and signal processing
  • Quantum computation and communications
  • Satellite and aerospace communication systems
  • Network science and engineering
  • Network security
  • Unmanned vehicular networks
  • Intelligence bio-sensing and networking
  • Intelligent transportation and smart city
  • Artificial neural networks and computation
  • Big data networking and computation architecture
  • 3D imaging/holography/immersive multimedia signal processing
  • Massive antenna arrays and radar signal processing
(2). Field of electromagnetic and radio engineering includes
  • mm-Wave and terahertz integrated circuit design
  • Quantum sensing and communication circuit design
  • Holographic sensors
  • Molecular and human communication channels
  • Satellite and aerospace communication system design
  • Massive antenna array design
  • High-speed ADC/DAC integrated circuit design
  • AI chip design
Exceptional candidates in other electrical and computer engineering areas will be considered as well. Candidates must hold a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a related field by the beginning of employment. Candidates should have strong commitment to excellent research and teaching, and demonstrate evidence of outstanding research accomplishment or potential.

The institute offers MS/PhD programs and provides an excellent research and teaching environment. The National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University is one of the top-ranking universities in Taiwan, located in Hsinchu City, about 70 kilometers south from Taipei, and next to the Hsinchu Science-Based Industrial Park which is renowned for its world-class ICT industry. There are substantial opportunities to collaborate with high-tech companies and obtain industrial-based projects.

Closing date of application: 31 December 2025. Applications will be evaluated as soon as they are received.

  1. Curriculum vitae (including education, relevant experience, publications and at least three references)
  2. Photocopy of PhD diploma
  3. Undergraduate and graduate trancripts
  4. Reprints or copies of selected publications (including abstract of dissertation)
  5. Teaching statement (courses for the first three semesters should include at least one compulsory course of the BS program* and one English-taught course)
  6. Research statement
  7. Three letters of recommendation
  8. Any other supporting documents
