Rung-Hung Gau (Senior Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 1994, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA, USA, in 1997, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, USA, in 2001. He was a Professor with the Institute of Communications Engineering, National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. He is currently a Professor with the Institute of Communications Engineering, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu. His current research interests include optimal resource allocation in NOMA wireless networks, machine learning and optimization for wireless communications and mobile computing, UAV communication networks, the Internet of Things, and software defined networking.
