He is currently the Dean of Student Affairs (2023-now) of National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan and Distinguished Professor (2020-now) of the college of electrical and computer engineering (ECE) at NYCU, and specialized in computer engineering. He has also been serving as a consultant for Asia Silicon Valley Development Plan (亞洲‧矽谷發展計畫), National Development Council (NDC), Taiwan since 2019. He currently also holds positions as a member of the Investment Evaluation and Review Committee of the National Development Fund (since 2022) under the Executive Yuan (行政院), a member of the Review Committee of the Subsidy Program for Innovative Applications of Smart City and Rural IoT Facilitated by 5G and Artificial Intelligence under the National Development Council (NDC) (since 2023), a member of the Consultative Meeting for License Application of Cable TV Service and Evaluation of System Operators under the National Communications Commission (since 2023), and a member of the Review Committee of the Teaching Practice Research Program under the Ministry of Education (2021-2023), Taiwan. Over the past few years, his research has been focused on applying computational intelligence to various system-on-chip designs (including radiation hardening, functional verification, and timing analysis) and high-speed networking (especially on applications of programmable switches).
Prof. Wen was the recipient of the Best Paper Awards from the 2012 Asia and South Pacific Design Automation Conference (ASP-DAC), the 2014 Synthesis And System Integration of Mixed Information (SASIMI), the 2016 International Conference on Information Networking (ICOIN), the 2017 ICOIN, and the Distinguished Young Scholar Award of the Taiwan IC Design Society in 2015.
